this video originates from a static report created by Apply Digital's marketing design team: the aesthetics, orbs, and overall look and feel were developed by them. my role in this video was to create a storyboard using the report’s data and assets, and then animate and post-produce it.

the first step in creating this video was to read and understand the entire report (you can read it here). each orb represents a part of the research, so I had to figure out where each color fit in. I also needed to understand the data and how the orbs and assets behaved based on it.

for the storyboard design, I used all of the assets the design team used in the final report: the orbs, the colors, the typography and the ethereal look and feel.

Development
based on my storyboard, I moved on to After Effects to animate each scene, creating each orb separately so I could use them across the corresponding scenes. once finished, I moved to Premiere Pro to add the music and sound effects, along with some light and glow effects.

this project took a week and a half to produce, from start (research) to final (post-production). it was really interesting to create each orb as an individual asset, recreating what the design team has done in Figma, and animating it with this smooth gradient movement.
